The Mother Project

The Mother Project is the creative development of a new music based work exploring various facets of the motherhood experience. Jessica has pulled together a stellar creative team of five composers (Jessica O’Donoghue, Jane Sheldon, Bree Van Reyk, Nardi Simpson and Alyx Dennison), a director and designer to deep dive into the motherhood experience including the economy and invisibility of care, the ‘non’ mother, miscarriage, IVF, post-natal depression, concepts of nesting and more. The project has been supported by Create NSW, City of Sydney, Inner West Council and Phoenix Central Park.
